Studio 131 is a budget recording studio in South Hurstville - Sydney Australia. We record songwriters, demos, small bands to rock and pop a wide variety of genres and styles. Main tools are Logic Pro Ten on Mac, EZdrummer2, plus a solid collection of mics, guitars, keyboards, and percussion available.

If you can perform it as a busker we can turn it into a huge sounding track at Studio 131. We are here to make the recording process easy and fun. We can record drums in this space plus drum programming is a specialty, even if you don't have a band, we can help build up a backing track with drums, bass and guitar.

Studio131 has grown from a muso studio into something more - its a value for money spot to simply hang out and write songs, sort out arrangements or work on pre-production.

We do a wide variety of stuff, we work with singers, songwriters, all kinds of bands, also voiceovers, audio for apps & youtube, narration for audiobooks and podcasts. The only thing we don't do is rap or hip hop. 

 Are you a Logic user? Normally the price includes an engineer to help you, but another option is to DIY self-produce, just book the space for yourself or bring your laptop.

What about cost? At $30/hr we are the cheapest recording studio in town - even cheaper than a rehearsal studio! Note there is a 3 hour / $90 minimum booking. Score a half day (4 hours) for $120 while an 8 hour day is $240, or $1200/week including engineer. 
 

 Although we are low cost, we don't rush or cut corners. We are very serious about capturing your best performance and getting your best work out there for the world to hear.
